George Bowles- National Windsurfer Techno 293

After 2 years competing at regional and national level events, i have recently gained a place in the National Squad as one of the top 4 Under 17 boys in the country.

In the 2008 season i will be competing at events around the country, many on the south coast for example the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy, venue for the 2012 Olympics.I will be travelling to the European Techno 293 Championships in Italy and the World Championships in Poland.

I am seeking sponsorship to help with his future career. The money will be used for equipment, travel, accommodation at events, entry fees and training costs.

Below is a summary of my most recent results, a list of events for 2008, a budget for 2008, and some of the press coverage he has had to date.

Sports Aid achievement award


George Bowles (16), windsurfing has been presented with a Sports Aid achievement award by the Mayor of North Lincolnshire Cllr Tony Ellerby in a short ceremony recently at PittwoodHouse. The award recognises his success over the last year and his future potential in performing at national squadl level in windsurfing. Along with the award goes a financial grant to help him with his training needs. The money for his award has been provided by the charitable fund raising of Sports Aid and includes donations from North Lincolnshire Council and Millennium Chemicals. George has also invested substantial amount of time in supporting the training of young windsurfers locally at his home club North Lincolnshiire & Humberside Sailing Club in Barton and was was also presented by the mayor with the Assistant Windsurfing Instructor Certificate which he had qualified for recently.
